Founded by Padmavathy Divakaran - a Western classical pianist and electronic music keyboardist - Aum Piano Studio exists to inspire, empower, and guide aspiring pianists and electronic keyboard players around the world.
We believe music education is about more than just playing the right notes. It’s a journey of creativity, confidence, and connection through the universal language of music.
At the heart of our vision is a powerful belief: Every child deserves access to music, just like they deserve food, healthcare, and education. Music expresses what words cannot, fostering self-awareness, empathy, and a sense of belonging. Padmavathy Divakaran is an award-winning Western classical pianist and music educator, known for her dynamic performances and dedication to music education.

Padmavathy has graced stages across India, performing solo and collaborative recitals. Notable performances include:
1) Beethoven’s Piano Sonata No. 31 at Goethe Institute, Chennai
2) Walter Piston’s Concertino with London Firebird Orchestra, UK
3) Mozart’s Piano Concerto No. 23 with Dr. A.R. Rahman’s Sunshine String Orchestra, Chennai
4) Solo Piano Concerts: Aruna Sunderlal Auditorium, Bangalore School of Music, RA Puram, Musee Musical, Egmore
5) Piano Accompaniment for Opera: Divya Sundaram Iyer (NCPA, Mumbai) & Vivaswath Rao (UK)- renowned soprano and tenor singers.
6) Piano Accompaniment for Percussion: Roshan Singh Chhabra (Alliance Française, Chennai) - an established drummer & marimba player from SOI (Symphony Orchestra of India).
Electronic Music Performance Highlights
The Roliwood Seaboard Ensemble: Formed under Dr. A.R. Rahman, Padmavathy helped launch the ROLI Seaboard instrument globally and performed at prestigious events, including:
1) ROLI Headquarters (London, UK)
2) The Grove (Watford, UK) for influential figures like Prince William, Simon Cowell, Eric Schmidt, and others
3) Private performances for Dr. A.R. Rahman, Apple, Google, and YouTube executives
